Launched in a location that couldn’t have been more perfect
The platform was officially launched on 21 May at the De Poelboerderij visitor centre in Wormer — right in the heart of the Wormer and Jisperveld. Provincial Executive Member Esther Rommel opened the event and emphasised the importance of the collaboration behind the platform: local authorities, site managers, marketing organisations and the provincial government working together to create a single hub for anyone wishing to actively explore North Holland.
Because that is exactly what it’s all about. Not just making routes easy to find, but also ensuring that visitor numbers are spread more evenly across the province. So that you can always find a lovely, peaceful route. Even on a busy summer’s day.
Continuing to grow
This is the first version of the platform, and it will be continuously expanded in the coming period. More routes, more regions, more tips. The partners of the North Holland Route Alliance will continue to add new content, so there’s always something new to discover.
