With six new stages and six circular walks, the route now extends further into North Holland.

New paths, old stories
For those who are not yet familiar with Het Ziltepad: this unique route follows the coastline of the Wadden Sea and winds its way past historic churches, open landscapes and picturesque villages. A new extension now also includes routes in North Holland. With this addition, the route now comprises fifteen stages and fifteen circular walks. According to the organisers, Het Ziltepad is set to expand further in 2027 to no fewer than 22 stages, stretching all the way from Den Helder to Termunten.
A tangible memento
A special addition to the route are the new pilgrim stamps, designed by artist Gerrit Terpstra. At each church along the route, walkers can collect a stamp and thus gather a tangible memento of their journey along the coast.
