Step back in time and discover the rich history of two special North Holland country estates: De Hartekamp and Overplaats in Bennebroek. Accompanied by an experienced guide from Landschap Noord-Holland, you will walk past historic buildings, lush parks, and fascinating cultural and historical sites.

The route

We gather at the entrance to the Overplaats, on the Rijksstraatweg in Bennebroek , opposite the petrol station. From the starting point, we cross the Rijksstraatweg/Herenweg and walk past the main buildings and the orangery of De Hartekamp.

Highlights at the Overplaats

After crossing the Herenweg, we visit the Overplaats, where you encounter significant changes in elevation. Along the way, we pass numerous special sights:

  1. Mount Parnassus
  2. The tea pavilion and the amphitheater
  3. The botanical gardens from the time of George Clifford and Linnaeus
  4. The Swiss bridge and the valley
  5. The bleach mountains and bleach fields of the Gliphoeve
  6. Brief attention to Hertenduin, Eikenrode, the Prinsenlaan and Dennenheuvel

Finally, we walk back through the forest park to the starting point on the Rijksstraatweg.
