Boerenommetje

The Boerenommetje (blue) leads through gently rolling grassland. Here it is clearly visible that Oosterend is situated on a somewhat higher moraine.

The 'tuunwallen' in particular give this short walk its charm. The path between walls of turf leads to the old Wadden Sea dike, now the boundary of the Wagejot bird sanctuary. You walk at the foot of the dike and return towards the village along the farm track of the same name.
