Busch en Dam & Krommenieroute

If you are an experienced explorer on the water, you probably know this route well. A beautiful connection between Busch en Dam and Krommenie.

There are several places along the route where you can launch your own canoe. The starting point in Krommenie is marked in the middle of the route, as this is a beautiful spot where you can both park and launch your canoe. First, paddle towards Busch en Dam for a stop at a picnic spot—an undiscovered, beautiful place to enjoy the view and daydream from the shore. Here, too, there is a place to take the canoe out of or back into the water.

Complete the day by visiting Fort aan den Ham a little further away. (Accessible on foot.) Fort aan den Ham is a military museum and is regularly open to visitors.

Afterwards, you paddle back towards the starting point to continue the route towards Krommenie. While canoeing, various parts of the Amsterdam Defence Line can still be seen here.

Sail through several residential areas of Krommenie towards the meadows and the polder, where you breathe in the peace and nature. When you reach the endpoint, you can choose to take the same route back or continue the route on a different color. The endpoint is nearby, with the De Woudaap windmill in sight.
