Culinair Heemskerk

You are walking through the Heemskerk market garden area. Scattered throughout the area, you will find various stalls. Along the way, you can buy fresh flowers, potatoes, vegetables, fruit, herbs, and other seasonal products at one of the many stalls.

The Heemskerk Culinary Walking Route introduces you to the countryside surrounding this green village. You will walk through a leafy country estate, past grasslands rich in meadow birds, over old dikes, and through the market gardening area southwest of the village. Several locations remind you of Heemskerk's past: the grounds of Marquette Castle, the Huldtoneel, the wheel of the Maer- or Korendijk, and the Krengenbos. Along the inner dune edge, you will find a unique and modern horticultural area where more than 50 different crops are grown.
