Tourist Transfer Point (TOP) Fort Uitermeer serves as an excellent base for a brisk walk or bike ride through the northwestern part of Gooi & Vecht. Rich in water, rural, and with extremely atmospheric places to eat and drink right in the vicinity.
From here, you are just a short distance from Lake Naardermeer, the fortified town of Weesp, and of course Fort Uitermeer. The fort is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dutch Waterlines (New Dutch Waterline and the Defence Line of Amsterdam).
