This route starts at Buitenpoort Castricum. Hildes Rondje is a scavenger hunt of approximately three kilometers for children through the surroundings of Huis van Hilde in Castricum. Along the way, you will come across all kinds of fun places and things and answer questions that help you on your way to the next discovery.
Climbing, playing and discovering
The scavenger hunt starts at Huis van Hilde and takes you past a number of special places in the area. Along the way, you climb the stairs at the Papenberg climbing dune and discover the mysterious art bunker. At Hof van Kijk Uit, you can have something to drink and eat, and enjoy romping and playing outside.
Animals and surprises
Further along, you will find out why there is a large wall, and at 't Dierenduintje you can watch animals such as pigs and goats undisturbed. With a bit of luck, you might even get to pet them. The questions in the scavenger hunt keep children actively engaged along the way, and the answers can be checked afterwards via the Visit Castricum website.
