A trail and walking event through a large dune area on the coast, across the beach, dunes, past lakes and through forest. Runners can choose from distances of 7 to 60 kilometres, walkers from 11 or 23 kilometres. There is also a kids trail. The routes are almost entirely unpaved and well-marked.
Trail run and hike in one
This event is intended for trail runners and hikers who love nature and a challenge. The course has many narrow paths, sandy sections and a few steep dune climbs. All distances are one large loop, without laps. Hikers walk 11 or 23 kilometres, runners can choose from 7, 11, 23, 35 or 60 kilometres. You will run part of the longest distance using GPS.
Sustainable and self-sufficient
The event is cup-free. So, bring your own cup, water bottle or hydration pack. There are aid stations on the longer distances, and on the shorter distances there is care at the finish. Littering in nature leads to immediate disqualification. The organisation works together with the forest rangers and the land manager of the area.
For whom and what you get
Every participant receives a medal with a new design. For children, there is a short kids trail with hot chocolate and a small surprise. It is about a twenty-minute walk from the station to the start.
